About
Freisicht
Freisicht is a fusion of culture and technology, thriving at the crossroads of cultural innovation and software development. We believe in the harmonious interplay between the physical and digital realms, unveiling endless possibilities for discovery. Emphasizing sustainability, we opt for local resources whenever feasible. Your data, like ours, is secured with a trusted Swiss IT infrastructure provider, and we predominantly utilize open-source tools for transparency and reliability.
About
The Team
A diverse team united by boundless enthusiasm, varied interests and skills, and a shared vision.
About
Partners
Some things are better left to others: we have high standards for quality and therefore collaborate with various partners and freelancers depending on the project requirements. This is particularly the case in areas such as 3D modeling, hardware installations, and audio recordings (voice actors).

The history of V:Culture and Artverse
How our products evolved.
V:Culture
Originally named "Digital Curation", was developed as part of a student project at ZHAW together with Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich (GRS). In close collaboration, we developed a software tailored to the needs of GRS, which on the occasion of the Long Night of Museums and at Scientifica gave insights into exhibition planning. The visitors were able to plan their own digital exhibitions.
The two days showed the potential of the software and the decision to further develop it was quickly taken.
Today, GRS uses V:Culture not only in mediation, but also and above all in the curation and planning of their exhibitions.
In the meantime, the software has been generalized to such an extent that it can be used at various museums for exhibition planning or as an extension of the physical museum into the digital realm.
Without the openness of GRS and their interest in innovation, varcu and freisicht would not have come into being. For this we would like to thank GRS and especially Dr. Linda Schädler and Julia Burckhardt!
Artverse
Shortly after founding Freisicht, we met Jan Lässig. He is responsible for digitalization at Aargauer Kunsthaus. It was clear from the beginning that we were pursuing very similar goals and that we could further develop our already existing AR application for Aargauer Kunsthaus in order to exactly fit their needs.
In close cooperation and with the help of regular tests with visitors, we developed artverse and with it the vision of offering a cross-museum augmented reality application with several different AR experiences for visitors.
The cooperation with Aargauer Kunsthaus was a stroke of luck for us and we would like to thank Jan Lässig (in the meantime he is a member of the freisicht team, in addition to his employment at Aargauer Kunsthaus) and Silja Burch for making Artverse possible with their commitment.
